You had me with the intro music. Really nice transition into the speaking part. You should definitely do something like this every episode, it was class!
Great to have ye back. Have been a long term listener (since Kristian Walsh was on) and will be for sure signing up. Glad to be able to give my money directly to ye.
I'm not too worried about Kelleher in goals against City. Alissons distribution against them has been shaky in recent games.
I get what you are saying about Arsenal being the best coached team in the league but Arteta has been able to pick the same team week in week out. We saw what happened last season once Saliba missed a few games
Eagerly anticipated, quality delivery. Happy you got Mo to participate. Props for the music!
On the current aftermath of our Carabao victory and the hype around our academy, I am reminded of the coverage of our win against Arsenal in the FA Cup 19/20 (10:9 after penalties) after which the ideal of a squad full of academy graduates was very popular. Keeping in mind that we won the league that season and being the dominant force, it was followed up by 20/21 which was a lost season. There had been many reasons, but putting a lot of trust in the academy graduates might have impacted our transfer activity that summer and when the first teamers became unavailable, the team collapsed. Long story short: I hope the club learned its lesson to evaluate our squad strength accordingly come the next season and the upcoming weeks.
Hey Josh. Have also been listening from the early AA days. It was the best pod on the Liverpool Echo by a mile. Gutted when I heard that you were leaving but so happy to hear about and support your Substack takeover, with Mo joining too. Keep up the fantastic work. It’s greatly appreciated. Thanks for all you do!
I’m impressed!! I knew you and Mo would be back as you’ve done an amazing job before!! Seamless transition..The content is well worth it especially for data junkies 😂😂
Great 1st Podcast. Love listening to you & Mo analysing the game & your thoughts for the future. What an interesting 12 months ahead. So glad I paid & subscribed. Glad you’re both back. Top work lads 👍🏻
No need to excuse yourself Paul. The music will be different every week, and it's an element I've been really excited to control for the first time. This week, the track was Doug Wolfsohn's mix of Hojar.
Also on the upcoming new manager podcasts, would you consider to highlight the current key players of each candidate and which players they might target if they would get the job or how they might repurpose our current players?
Well done Josh really enjoyed your Podcast well worth the Paywall
Thanks Neil, good to be back.

Good to hear, it'll be a recurring theme of the podcast mate, something I'm looking forward to controlling.
I cannot wait to listen to this weekly! Great to have you back Josh, along with Mo and all the other upcoming guests. YNWA

Cheers mate, good to hear from an OG. I'll have to give Kris a shout to see if he's keen on making a return.

I'll make a note of that mate, could be worth considering for a Q&A episode at some point.
